We were visiting family and came to Thumper to golf. Amazing views on the challenging course. Had lunch on the patio afterward with delicious food, drinks and excellent service while also enjoying the views of the pond/fountain/18th green. Although we didn't stay this time, we not only have stayed here before, we had our wedding here in 2007 and this was an all-out party! Rarely have been to a better event! Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience with our most recent stay here. We were married here a number of years ago and chose a recent anniversary to return. The staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and inattentive. Additionally, the room looked like it had sustained a LOT of abuse, with scratches and marks everywhere; the carpet looked unclean as well. The resort is in desperate need of a remodel. The shower faucet, shower head and tub spot all had issues. The carpet is tired and the black duck tape with staples in the elevator are not a good sign. The staff on the other hand were pleasant and the convention food was decent. Anytime someone walked in the room above mine, I knew it.

The hotel experience was ok. When we got there a half hour early and the front desk lady said the room wasn’t ready so we waited 45 minutes (15 minutes after our check in time) to get to our room. There was an old chip bag from the previous stayers under the bed which was absolutely disgusting. They did however take money off the stay. Whew, Where do I start! First off I had to call atleast 40 times over multiple days before anyone answered the phone to book 2 rooms. I left a voicemail and an email, to this day (4 days post stay) I still do not have a return call nor email reply. I then called a few days later atleast 20 times to book an RV spot for my parents-still no return phone call about booking that spot either.
