My husband and I had our wedding here in August 2024 and had the most amazing experience. Not only was the resort gorgeous, the food was great and all our family members and friends enjoyed their time staying at the resort. Lori, the event coordinator, made the whole planning process simple and relieved a ton of stress for me as the bride. I am beyond grateful and happy to have had my wedding here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
We arrived in July 2024 for what was supposed to be a 2 night stay and we stayed 0 nights. We showed up an hour before check in and the lady at the front desk was so rude, stating it wasn't yet time for us to check in, but she then gave us our keys? Our room was ok. It was nice in that it had a separate bedroom, but it was so dated and old and smelled like smoke. The elevator was iffy and possibly broken. The hotel room was in decent condition & the restaurant had good food. However the biggest disappointment of everything was the water park. The kiddie pool had no water in it. The pool was cold. The waterslides had lights out inside. Pipes were leaking. Floors were disgusting walking to the tube slide, it wouldn't be hard to take a vacuum & vacuum the chunks of metal off the floor. Our daughter and son in law were married at Thumper Pond Auguest of 2024. We live in Washington State but most of our family lives in Nebraska, Minnesota and Indiana. Thumper Pond was the perfect site for their wedding and to host our traveling guests. This is a beautiful resort from the rooms, indoor water park, on site restaurant, golf course and the venue itself. We had a wonderful experience planning a wedding from another state thanks to Lori. Ask for a discounted price, we did and got one. Our king room was clean and ample space in our room, The hotel is older and has the Up north look, which I wouldn’t change- but maybe some elbow grease into a fresh coat of paint on the walls would definitely make the rooms a lot nicer. The water park, RV park, golfing, even ice skating, is all fun & Willy Ts has a great menu, amazing food, full bar, love the Pub woodsey feel!
